piszkowice - Lower Silesian Mountain Running Festival

The Lower Silesian Mountain Running Festival is not just a unique event for those who love to challenge themselves on the trails. With the festival growing in popularity every year, it’s a perfect opportunity to make a difference! Following tradition, this year we are supporting the Care and Treatment Facility in Piszkowice. Everyone can help – let the 14th edition of DFBG also be a record-breaking one in terms of support for children!

As in previous years, all proceeds from the Trojak Trail registration – the 10-kilometer race concluding the Festival – will be donated to the children from Piszkowice. But that’s not all – after the race, on Sunday, July 19, at around 1:30 PM, there will be a “Auction for Piszkowice” at the Concert Shell next to the Race Office in Lądek-Zdrój. The amount raised during the auction will be added to the Trojak Trail proceeds. The total donation will be formally announced by DFBG director and head judge Piotr Hercog, who will hand over the check to the initiator of the entire campaign, Ms. Henryka Szczepanowska, who coordinates and runs the activities for Piszkowice.

Ms. Henryka Szczepanowska is wholeheartedly dedicated to working with the facility’s residents, children with severe and moderate intellectual and physical disabilities. Most of the children are bedridden, unable to interact with their surroundings, and require round-the-clock care.

Despite its charitable nature, the Trojak Trail race is still a true mountain run, perfect for those who not only want to help but also test themselves on mountain terrain. In this race, the focus is not on finishing times but on helping children in need, which is why the course time limit is a generous 3 hours. You can do it!
